How to slow down consumption without giving up choice and comfort ? I tried to make a daily object easier to produce, to disassemble, to repair and recycle but also more versatile. Rather than collecting shoes or change them each time a part of it is damaged, I imagined a shoes build with a very little number of parts which can be replaced individually. Using an assembly system made with straps and an intermediate sole with pins, I prototype 3 types of shoes : a sandal, a sneakers and a boots. It’s an open system and the idea is to adapt any type of sole or shoe-upper to it. Different parts are sold separately in envelopes and can be sent back to get a new one when they are damaged.
