How to make perfume sample more playful, pleasant to use, and more catchy while remaining easy to distribute ? The current perfume sample in the magazines is an object which seems disembodied and disposable. Because, above all, a perfume is a good story, I find obvious to associate perfume and literature and choose to create scented bookmarks. In order not to disrupt reading, I develop mechanisms to have a smell only when requested. They are inspired by little tic we have when we read and which will activate the fragrance contained by the bookmark with a micro-encapsulation technique. Each gesture : to fold and unfold, to agitate, to rub, to swirl, is supported by a different shape. I have prototyped each one of them with fragrant powder.
